We will go beyond just vet care and get these animals rehabilitated as needed using trainers and behaviorists to help overcome issues related to past trauma. It is our goal to focus on the rescue of these urgent animals and provide them immediately the routine, emergency or specialized medical care they need and deserve. Because the abuse, neglect, cruelty and medical cases cost shelters the most money and are the most urgent, they are often the first animals euthanized. We want to introduce these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not damaged goods or unworthy, but really can be great family pets. Our goal is to save abused & at risk dogs from kill shelters & provide vetting & loving homes. Since its inception, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has saved over 9,300 dogs. We exist solely on donations and rely primarily on fundraising to help animals in need. “Save a life by adopting instead of shopping” Rescue Dogs Rock is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2015. RDRNYC is a 501c3, volunteer & foster based rescue. We could not take this huge step without you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ongoing support. Will you help us get our facility up and running? We have hired a general contractor & are very excited to get started with this huge undertaking. Our new rescue center will cost approximately $350,000 to get it where it needs to be and ready to open and start taking in dogs. We want it to be a comfortable oasis for these dogs who have already been through so much. We need bigger and more modern kennels & air conditioning to start. It really needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Now the real work comes in as the center is in disrepair and has nothing done to it in probably 30 years. This has been 3 years in the making, so we are very excited to have come this far. That is the good news and why we chose this particular property. The center sits on half an acre and allows indoor/outdoor kennels and has lots of outdoor space. This will allow us to save many more needy and deserving dogs. If you would like to be the lucky one who gets to give Cloud her happy ever after, please fill out an adoption application here.As announced one short month ago, we have acquired our own rescue and rehabilitation center in Suffolk County on Long Island giving us our own home for our dogs in need. Her home must be exceptional because she is an exceptional dog! S he is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is an absolute JOY, but not for a first pet or novice handler. She must have a strong and confident leader. Cloud has a prey drive and can be dog reactive. She d oes well with large dominant males who offer correction and leadership. A high- energy girl, she requires daily exercise and stimulation. She’s house trained, crate trained, has great leash manners and knows basic commands. Extremely smart, Cloud learns quickly and is eager to please. She is a beautiful little petite pixie – 40 pounds of dynamite: a big personality in a small package! She’s a total love bug and very affectionate with her people. If you would like to star in Beau’s new, improved life, please apply online to adopt Beau at CloudĬloud, born in March 2017, is a Boxer mix who comes into rescue from North Carolina – found in a kill shelter, emaciated and suffering from a life of neglect. You will be blessed to encounter this special guy. Beau can truly be your forever, loyal best friend if you crave pure unconditional love. Beau is reactive to other dogs, so walking can be a bit challenging (he has a loud bark). He needs to be the center of attention so he can get all the love and attention he deserves. Beau would be perfect for a person or couple that doesn’t have other animals or has one submissive female (the only type of dogs he seems to get along with). Beau is a couch potato and LOVES to cuddle, is completely housebroken, enjoys car rides and does not chew or destroy anything (except for his toys which he loves to remove squeakers from). It was determined that it’s best left there as the surgery to remove it is dangerous. This beautiful boy was shot in the mouth while a drug warrant was being served fortunately, the bullet lodged in Beau’s neck in a spot that is not causing any pain or limitation. Although Beau loves children, he’s a big guy who doesn’t know his own strength, so he would do best with teens and older. Beau is a super sweet, gentle, friendly boy who is good with people. Our veterinary partner estimated that Beau was 2 years old at the time of intake in September 2021.
